Our book report folders are going home today. Our first book report will be due on October 9th. The students will be preparing their book reports at home. All instructions can be found on the information sheet in their duotang.
I just wanted to touch base with all students and their families given the situation we find ourselves in with schools currently being closed. Please know that we are all doing our best to provide whatever support we can during this difficult time. The Ottawa Catholic School Board has asked us to remind you that the health and well-being of our students and their families is our primary focus right now. We are aware that everyone is dealing with their own unique situation and doing the best they can. In terms of academics and “distance learning” at the present time, Ms. Light and myself have posted math & language work in Hapara Workspace. Students can access this by going through their student portal at red.ocsb.ca, and clicking on Workspace. We will be adding work daily for the students to complete. I understand that this may be difficult at times, as there will be no formal lesson, but we have tried to include all resources to aid the students with the assigned work. Also
Our Christmas Shopping Day is fast approaching. Please send in gently used items that you think our students may want to purchase for their family members. For example: books, puzzles, games, jewellery, toys, etc. This Advent season we are also collecting items for Shepherds of Good Hope. We are looking for socks, razors, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes and body wash. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
Just a reminder that we will be presenting our book reports on Monday, October 21st. All instructions and rubric can be found in the Book Report duotang.
